About Cardium: Business Strategy
Building upon our core products and product
candidates, our strategic goal is to develop a portfolio
of medical products at advanced stages of development
and secure additional financial resources to commercialize
these products in a timely and effective manner. The
key elements of our strategy are to:
- Advance the AWARE Phase 3 clinical study for Generx in women with
recurrent angina to treat myocardial ischemia;
- Advance the MATRIX Phase 2b clinical study of Excellarate, a topical collagen-based gel for patients with chronic diabetic wounds and seek partnering opportunities;
- Accelerate commercialization of InnerCool’s endovascular and
surface temperature modulation systems with an expanded sales force
and increased manufacturing capacity;
- Advance the pre-clinical development of Corgentin and potentially
seek partnering opportunities for the Corgentin and Genvascor product
candidates;
- Maintain small corporate infrastructure through the use of contract
service providers; and
- Continue to utilize Cardium as a platform to acquire other companies,
secure additional capital and product opportunities to diversify risk
and accelerate growth to enhance shareholder value.
